Riesling Grand Cru Kirchberg
18,50 €
This great Riesling comes from the Kirchberg de Barr. The Kirchberg, with its steep south-east facing slope and protected from the north winds by the forest that covers the hill, combines the ideal conditions for the production of wines with a strong character. The clay and limestone content of this rich terroir gives the wines their strength and fine mineral acidity.
It presents notes of citrus fruit, a strong but delicate nose that develops gently over the years without losing any of its finesse – even after more than ten years of ageing. The flavour is powerful and structured by a subtle acidity.
The wines from the Kirchberg in Barr offer an incomparable sensation of freshness on the palate. They combine aromatic finesse with a structured and powerful flavour and have an exceptionally high ageing potential, allowing them to mature for ten to twenty years without any problems.
Goes well with: fish sauerkraut, noble fish such as sole fillets with dill, turbot with beurre blanc.
